Ciara Duggan is an author and screenwriter, born and raised in a small town in Northwestern Connecticut. She received her MFA from Boston University where she later taught undergraduate writing courses. Alongside placing as a finalist for the 1st Annual Book Pipeline Unpublished Competition, her debut YA Fantasy novel, Awakened, was published in Fall 2021. Her debut poem, Of The Night, was included in the Exquisite Poison Anthology by Phantom House Press in 2022, and her debut Adult Romantic Thriller, A Fragile Woman, will also be published by Phantom House Press in April 2023.
Ciara has her own business, Ciara Duggan Editorial, where she helps writers through every process of their story, whether they are writing a novel, short story, or screenplay. She is also the Creative Executive and Editor at Book Pipeline, where she manages the Workshop evaluation services and writing contests. Alongside being a regular contributor to Pipeline Artists, she is also the co-host of the original Pipeline Podcast, This Podcast Needs A Title.
She currently resides in Middletown, CT with her husband, baby boy, and their pup, Briar. When she's not writing, reading, or watching movies, she loves to travel (mostly to Ireland), indulge her sweet tooth, go hiking, and daydream.
